Just a message to say Thank You. I was invited by my Aunt to accompany her to the Holy Land. It was such a fantastic experience in terms of visiting differing religious,cultural and climatic changes and also visiting so any places that are embedded within christian history.The tour encompassed so many places in such a short time. Hamzah and Father Paul were both excellent in terms of providing such a huge wealth of knowledge and experience and also working spiritual miracles within our group. The tour will have lasting effect as it brought to real life places where events occurred.

It has been a fantastic experience these 9 days.I led a group of 44 people on a pilgrimage to Israel. It was a moving informative and very spiritual experience for us. We launched our trip in January 2015, soon after the November 2014 group returned. This gave members the opportunity to pay their fare by installments finishing in September 2015, two months before our departure. The staff at Special Pilgrimages were very friendly and supportive from beginning to the end. They helped us plan the sites to visit and where to conduct our worship and communion services. They provided each passenger with a book that contained scripture readings relevant to the places we visited and suggested hymns to sing. In fact nothing was overlooked in their desire to make us comfortable. They consulted us on the choice of hotels both in Bethlehem and Tiberias. On the day of our departure we were met and assisted at Heathrow. When one of our passengers was left behind they worked with her to join us that same day in Israel. For this we say thank you staff of Special Pilgrimages.In the Holy Land, we met our guide Mr Amnon Betsser, whom every member of our team considers to be the best of the best in terms of his knowledge, his presentation skills and his care for the welfare of those entrusted to his care. He was not just a guide , he was a father and a companion. We wish to express our heartfelt gratitude to Amnon (“Chop, Chop”). The coach we had was very neat and in excellent condition at all times. We had a very experienced, patient, punctual and a caring driver in the person of Saber. The understanding between Amnon (Guide) and Saber (Driver) was phenomenal. Their relationship impacted positively on the group. Although our team had a few initial challenges that could have denied us visit to some of the sites, Amnon worked so hard to ensure that we did not miss any place on our itinerary. As a group leader, this is my 2nd group with Special Pilgrimages. This year five new places were added to the places we visited last year.

Let me tell you about our pilgrimage: it was a fantastic experience. All 23 of us who completed the trip agree that it was a beautiful and profound experience that we all want to do again in the future. Special Pilgrimages deserves enormous credit for a superbly organized trip that went entirely without fault. Not a single complaint and many, many plaudits from all the pilgrims.Here’s what you did well: Pre-tour arrangements were handled very efficiently by Debbie who tenaciously made sure we had everything we needed.The guy who met us at Luton airport was there on time and guided us through check-in. A guy met us at Tel Aviv and saw us through customs and immigration. He then introduced us to Hamzeh our guide who stayed with us for the duration. As you know, I had asked for Amnon but he was unavailable and, in the light of experience, we benefited because Hamzeh was excellent throughout. He had a deep well of knowledge covering not just the Bible story but also spoke knowledgeably and impartially about the current political situation and delivered everything with a charming manner that won each of us over. So much so that we composed and sang a song to him and our driver (Shadi – who was also excellent) on our last day in Haifa. I cannot speak highly enough of Hamzeh and Shadi – they will stay in our memories for ever.We stayed first at the Angel hotel in Bethlehem and, despite our previous reservations, this was a joyful experience. The staff at the hotel could not have been more hospitable and friendly. The food was of a very good standard and I received only commendations from my group for this part of the trip. They even arranged full breakfasts for us at 5.30am one day when we needed to leave early. Highly recommended. The itinerary was excellent. Challenging for some of our group but generally gave us a comprehensive tour of the Holy Land. I can sum it up by saying that we all want to return in the future and I would have no hesitation in employing Special Pilgrimages to arrange that for us again and if I am ever asked about the pilgrimage, I am happy to recommend your services. I took a group on Pilgrimage to Lourdes. Special Pilgrimages was excellent in organising the British Airways flights from/to Heathrow, the coach from Toulouse airport to Lourdes vice versa the Hotel at Lourdes and the masses in Lourdes.
The entire Pilgrimage was seamless.Everything was excellently arranged and could not fault them on anything would definitely use them again. My fifteenth visit to Lourdes.

I first had the experience of Special Pilgrimages back in 2000 when I joined a pilgrimage for my first visit to the Holy Land. Our pilgrimage was so ‘special’ that several years later when I planned to lead a pilgrimage (although I looked at other companies) there was only one that I was going to use. Again, Special Pilgrimages did not disappoint, a wonderful time was had by all. This again was repeated in 2014 when again I took another group of pilgrims to the Holy Land. I have always found the staff helpful, knowledgeable and ready to go that step further to ensure that the pilgrimage is just right. I cannot speak highly enough of their organisation of the pilgrimage and their attention to detail. I am currently organising my third Holy Land Pilgrimage and I can think of no safer hands to be in than Special Pilgrimages. Our Story: In the year 2000, the Lord told us that we [my wife and I] would be flying to do His work. Taking it with a pinch of salt we thought of its impossibility because of our social, financial and spiritual disposition. It’s a no deal and against all odds. However, God’s way is different from man’s way; for man, few things are possible but for God, all things are possible. God being faithful and able to fulfill His promise caused my wife to ask for a special 50th Birthday gift of travelling to Israel and that God did through Special Pilgrimages Christian Tours and we went. It was unbelievable experience that I felt it was a dream not reality. Whilst in the Holy Land, 3 times in eight days, our guide told me that in 40 years of work, he had never experienced the feelings he had about me. He had a strong conviction that he saw us bringing people to Israel. He apologised for embarrassing us because he felt he was being a pain in the neck but the message would not go away rather, it was getting stronger and more convincing. Returning home, we reviewed the itinerary, realised that we had missed some important places Jesus walked which we would have loved to be. We inquired from the company and we were told that what we asked for would take ten days instead of their usual eight days and we urged them to organise one and we would to join them on that one again. Two weeks later we were sent a draft brochure for a 10 days pilgrimage to the Holy Land but to our shock written “led by Rev Adedayo Ige”! I contacted the tour operator to say we had only expressed an interest in the longer tour, not leading it! But she told us as I was talking to her she felt that God must have deposited something in us because of the way we made our inquiry and no other will be better to lead such a tour than us. Since then God has enabled us to partner with Special Pilgrimages Christian Tours Ltd and our Guide Amnon and we have taken people to the Holy land about seven times with an average number of 38 pilgrims. God has been good and those that followed us have been blessed tremendously that some of them have been there with us 2-3 times. The last thing we want to give testimony about is the competitiveness of the pricing of Special Pilgrimages Christian Tours. To be double sure we have compared their prices with at least 4 other companies and none is able to offer the same price on the same of itinerary, hotel and flights .

Mike has been the minister of a Baptist Church for 19 years, but it was in 1992 ,on a visit to Israel that we first realised the spiritual significance of Israel. Since then we have been regularly leading groups on tours ,initially with C.W.R. but mostly with Special Pilgrimages. It does not matter how often we go, we never cease to be overwhelmed at the privilege of going so often to God's land, and it is a thrill for us ,as people visit all the Biblical sites for the first time, to see them affected. Israel is very special and we would recommend all believing Christians to visit and experience all it has to offer spiritually.

Most Pilgrims came from various Glasgow parishes and a hospital chaplaincy and had planned and prepared for this special trip for over a year! We found both hotels in Bethlehem and Tiberias to be of a high standard with very friendly staff in them.
