Tours
Although we have never limited ourselves to the Holy Land exclusively, we are proud to offer an even wider range of pilgrimage and holiday destinations for the Christian traveller in our brochure, as we move into the New Millennium. We have added regular departures to Santiago de Compostela to our brochure, since this was the traditional destination for pilgrims who were unable to travel to the Holy Land. Individual pilgrims are welcome to travel for a long weekend to Compostela departing Thursday and returning Sunday. We also have pilgrimages following the traditional Way of St. James by coach with a few hours walking each day and a programme combining Santiago de Compostela with Salamanca, Toledo, Avila, Montserrat and Barcelona. We are also happy to arrange pilgrimages to the south of Spain to explore the rich traditions of Seville, Cordoba and Granada. There is a great deal more to Spain than sun and sandy beaches! We are also offering tours to Finland and Russia to visit the Orthodox churches of Karelia and learn more about the art and spirituality of Iconography. This is an exciting and fascinating place to visit, with the most beautiful scenery - pine forests and lakes - and a warm welcome from the local communities that you will meet. Our regular tours operate from May to September, but private groups may like to enquire about the Via Dolorosa Passion Play of Iisalmi performed between February and April - often in deep snow! Rome continues to be a popular destination and we now offer the possibility of long week-ends for individual travellers to explore the Eternal City, as well as tailor-made programmes for parish groups wishing to stay for a week in Rome or combine Rome with Assisi, or other cities in Italy. Another new destination is our Pilgrimage to Poland, including Warsaw, Czestochowa - the Shrine of the Black Madonna - and the beautiful city of Krakow near the Tatra mountains in the south. Finally you will find details of our popular annual pilgrimage to Mexico in December for the Feast of Our Lady of Guadalupe. This has always been an exciting and enjoyable week and can be combined with a further week of pure leisure in Acapulco! We hope that you will find a pilgrimage or tour in the following pages that appeals to you but assure you that we are also happy to provide tailor-made tours for groups to other destinations, including Syria, Jordan, Egypt, Turkey, Greece, France and Russia.
