Tour One - The Compostela Weekend
 Cathedral | These visits do not involve walking along the Camino but allow people to explore the town and region more fully and in a more relaxed fashion than at the end of a long pilgrimage on foot.
DAY 1 - Thursday
Leave from London to Santiago de Compostela. A hot meal will be served on the flight. Meeting and assistance upon arrival and transfer to your hotel in Santiago de Compostela for an overnight stay.
DAY 2 - Friday
After breakfast you will have a guided tour of the Cathedral and the city and the afternoon will be free.
DAY 3 - Saturday
Today is free to explore the city at your own pace or you can take an
optional full day excursion "Low Estuaries".
DAY 4 - Sunday
This morning you can attend Mass locally. In the afternoon you will be taken to the airport for your return flight to London.

Optional Excursion "Low Estuaries"
This is a full day excursion by coach with a guide which takes you out into the Galicia countryside and along the coast with its beaches and fishing villages. There are various stops to visit these interesting villages and local shrines, finishing with a guided walking tour of the provincial capital Pontevedra to view its fascinating churches. Lunch is included.

We offer you a choice of the Hotel for your weekend in Compostela
Hotel Hesperia Gelmirez * * * (3 Star)
We have chosen this hotel for its excellent central location and the
extremely good facilities it provides, with colour cable TV, telephone
and room safes and buffet breakfast. Half board available.
Hotel Parador: De Los Reyes Catolicos * * * * * (5 Star)
Situated in the main Plaza do Obradoiro the "Hostal Reyes Catolicos"
has been accommodating pilgrims since 1499 and is considered to be the
oldest hotel in the world - as well as one of the most luxurious and
beautiful. Half board available.
Please note that these hotels are subject to availability and may be substituted by hotels of equivalent standard.
Restaurants
Your hotel accommodation is based on Bed & Breakfast to enable you to go out in the evenings and sample the local cuisine provided by the wide range of restaurants available in Compostela.
You can enjoy the local seafood specialities: scallops (the scallop shell being a symbol of pilgrimage), octopus and grilled sardines, and the almond-based Tarta de Compostela.
You also have the option of eating each evening in the hotel if you choose to pay the Half Board supplement.
Prices are based on London flights, but you can also fly direct from Manchester or Birmingham, or via London from Glasgow, Edinburgh, Aberdeen, Belfast and Jersey (subject to price adjustment).
